This eLearning course helps careworkers, assistants in nursing, or support workers to understand advance care planning and palliative care for patients with dementia. The course includes 7 modules involving content on:
- describing what advance care planning and palliative care are, and how they are relevant for a person living with dementia
- recording and communicating distress observed in people living with advanced dementia
- supporting families to record and communicate distress they observe in a person living with advanced dementia.

Approximately 2 hours to complete all seven modules.
