Remember
- Where the cause is unknown, metoclopramide or haloperidol are first line therapy.
- Avoid metoclopramide in people with suspected bowel obstruction.
- While metoclopramide and haloperidol are generally contraindicated for people with Parkinson’s Disease, they can be used in the terminal phase.
