This course consists of 8 modules:
- Introduction to palliative care
- The pharmacist’s role in palliative care
- Person-centred care
- Supporting carers
- Trajectory and symptoms of people living with life limiting illnesses
- Symptom management
- Interdisciplinary palliative care
- Grief, bereavement and self-care.
Readings, videos and activities are included and participants learn from palliative care experts, carers, and others with lived and professional experience on the pharmacist’s role in improving quality of life. At the end of each module there is an assessment (5 MCQs).
